Catherine Ann Yeardley was born circa 1576 to Parents Ralph Yeardley and Agnes Abbott. Her mother passed away in 1576 and her father Ralph Yeardley remarried to Rhoda Marston. Catherine siblings include 4 (half) brothers. Thomas who died in childhood, John, Ralph and George. (George became Governor of British Colonial Virginia.)
Catherine married Edward Irby and together they had 2 sons John and Walter..founders of all Irby's in America. It was mostly likely Catherine's Brothers George and Ralph'S experiences in the "New World" that fueled their nephews John and Walter move to Virginia.
Catherine died in 1650 and was buried in Odell, Bedfordshire England
